The Brawler’s Guild is coming back to World of Warcraft for the first time in five years as a part of The War Within Patch 11.2.7. Though most specifics are still not known, World of Warcraft players can look forward to the return of this popular feature on or around December 9.
During Mists of Pandaria, World of Warcraft introduced the Brawler’s Guild, a series of challenging solo PvE encounters that doubles as an elaborate reference to Fight Club. It later closed its doors, reopening again in Warlords of Draenor, Legion, and Battle for Azeroth, introducing new challenges, rewards, and other features each time. Unfortunately, despite desires to bring the Brawler’s Guild back to WoW, Blizzard has not yet done so since it left with the release of Shadowlands in 2020.
The Brawler’s Guild Returns in World of Warcraft Patch 11.2.7
Now, it seems that is all about to change in Patch 11.2.7. The first alpha build for World of Warcraft: Midnight holds a number of different items, achievements, and features associated with the Brawler’s Guild. While it has yet to be officially announced, this confirms the Brawler’s Guild is coming back, almost certainly as a major feature in the final update of The War Within.
Right now, fans have only sparse details to work with, but they do confirm several new features coming to the Brawler’s Guild. Stat-boosting consumables, new achievements, and Broker Gambit challenges, which can increase the difficulty of the battles through modifiers ranging from being pelted by fruit or lit on fire to fighting without a weapon or taking damage. Additionally, at least two new mount rewards have been added for players who earn certain ranks: Brawlin’ Bruno and Ballistic Bronco.

According to text from a datamined splash screen, the Brawler’s Guild is set to become available starting with the weekly reset on December 9, a week after World of Warcraft Patch 11.2.7’s purported launch. It also appears as if all accounts will receive an invitation for free in Dornogal, without needing to purchase or find a Blood-Soaked Invitation through previous means. It remains to be seen when the Brawler’s Guild will close after it returns, or if it will become an evergreen feature.
Either way, the return of the Brawler’s Guild is only one of many exciting things coming in Patch 11.2.7. In addition to Shadowlands Timewalking in World of Warcraft, a new Turbulent Timeways event, and The War Within epilogue story quests, fans who have pre-purchased Midnight can get early access to Player Housing. With Legion Remix starting eminently and running through next January, there will be plenty of things for World of Warcraft fans to do this year.
